Our Story

The Sydney Caravan Club was formed in 1989 by a group of friends who saw a need to offer a way of seeing the great outdoors at a cost affordable to young and old alike. The group felt that the club should be set up to permit anyone who wanted to rally in tents, caravans or motorhomes to be able to join. The club is family oriented and has a youthful outlook in regards to its activities. We are a friendly group who enjoys each others company as well as this great country of ours, Australia. 

The Sydney Caravan Club rallies at bushland settings, forests and private properties at a low cost to its members. While most members are self contained, the club tries to hire grounds that have a toilet and shower where possible. 

The office bearers have no power to make decisions on their own. The club has a meeting on the first day of each rally and decisions are made by all members. Members are encouraged to speak on whatever topic is being discussed with the knowledge that their input will be heard.
